Wal-Mart was required to sell the system as "LindowsOS" to get around M$ complaints. It provides a basic Linux distro (don't recall what it is named) which will run a few popular Window$ apps. It wouldn't be a bad way to introduce the general public to Linux, except there is some sort of annual subscription service required to use the system.
