Considering Seth's good point, what I have done is to set the background color 
of Konq File Manager SuperUser to a bright red (like a root login).
Now I have my nice readable fonts, but the red background is a vivid reminder of just 
where I am. (not that I'm apt to forget 8-|)
One could also use a background image for a reminder. These settings only affect File 
Manager SuperUser.
