Hi Anne,

I do not know Lotus Approach, but for MySQL there is a nice web-interface
called phpMyAdmin which works wonderfully when you have Apache running.
MyAdmin assists you in creating queries and reports. I find it very good and
useable.

You can find phpMyAdmin at http://www.phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/

You do need to have MySQL up and running for this to work though. There is
info on that on the Web, on the list here too. If you have a problem getting
MySQL up and running I may be able to help you a bit. I have something on
paper here that got me this far  :-)
