1. Get to a shell, become root, and type the following... /etc/openoffice/openoffice.conf
2. Edit the UI_FONT="AUTO" replace "AUTO" with "Arial" or whatever other font you have and want to use. 3. Save, close, and open OOOWriter. You should have menus.
