I totally agree, Anne. Having learnt Mandarin post university at the RAAF School of Languages Point Cook, I would have found the whole process easier if I'd gone for the language earlier. Australia is pretty aware of its world location, so Indonesian, Mandarin and Japanese are part of the syllabus in many of its states. Rob
