For a DVD bought here in the UK xine reports "maybe region 2". It appears to get that information from the Region mask on the DVD.

Well I ask because xine appears to set that manually in the config section of the app.
you have a choice 1 to 8 , in video,mine was set on installation at 1 as default , so obviously
mine would not of worked for that reason. However be that as it may it is not the resaon
on it's own, why xine is not working.
