In trying to keep my system up to date... as root I typed "apt-get upgrade -f"

Need to get 20.7MB of archives. After unpacking 73.6MB will be freed. Do you want to continue? [Y/n] --end error -- Why is it trying to remove evolution? And why is it keeping some packages back? What do I need to do from here? If I need to remove evolution, is there a way to back up my emails and settings so when I reinstall it I wont have lost anything? TP
