I think not - it was never really there.  Only an idiot would think that linux 
is bug-free.  It must be over a year since I read an article saying that 
samba is insecure out-of-the-box.  That goes for many more issues, too.  The 
advantage linux has is that it can be nailed down to whatever degree seems 
applicable - whereas in many cases you can do nothing about the insecurities 
of windows.

It bears consideration though, that as linux becomes more mainstream it will 
inevitably attract the attention of the script-kiddies.  Be warned.
