OK, I've just bought an AOC720A 17" LCD monitor. I swapped it out for my Windows 2000 monitor at work and it was fine at 1280x1024. (75Hz) Mandrake install seems to find it OK, seems to read its valid frequencies OK (but not its name,) but then chooses a mode which causes the monitor to display "Out of Range."
Does anyone have a modeline for this monitor? Can someone give me some ideas for: 1. The tools available to test timing variations, and if any of them are usable outside X. 2. What is the hotkey mode selection mentioned in the Video Timing HOWTO?
