    That 'recent' d/l was 9.1b3, all 3 iso's were 650mb each, from a 
mirror in Norway. Tho I see peaks up into the 170K/sec range 
occaisionally, my best average speed is ~150K.  On busy servers, or 
those that stall or slow a lot it's more likely 140+K.  I'm also 
about as far away from my telco's substation as DSL is feasble. Which 
is another factor. IIRC, 700mb iso's I've d/l'd were under 1.5 hours, 
more like 1hr, 15 or 20 mins. Two simultaneously in just over two 
hours.  Which is why I believe stalls are a real factor. d/l'g 2 at a 
time minimizes stalls, 3 at a time is even better.

   In any event, it's a whole lot quicker than an average 4.8K/sec 
with a good 56kilo bit connection ;)
