But for this kind of usage, grep is as simple as can be! the -i switch is simpy for case-INsensitivity. (so that a grep for windowmaker will return results that include "Windowmaker, WINDOWMAKER", you get the idea) In this particular example, it's not even needed, you can usually just "grep searchterm" and it will work :o) Damian -- -- I don't want Windows to be only for the 31173.
