Only to the extent that your Mac CDs are going to be Mandrake 8.2 while hers will be 9.0 and therefore some of the features will be enhanced, and there will be newer applications. Otherwose it will be just the same. One of the strengths of Linux is that it can be compiled on many different hardware platforms.
