Before I start blocking the 2000 I want to start sharing the connection using static ip. When I run the wizard it automaticly configures the sharing to use dhcp. This makes the old static ip disappear. When I use dhcp on the win machine I can connect to the internet, but I can no longer ping the old ip of the linux machine.
Can you have some machines connect using dhcp and some machines connecting using static ip to the same linux-box through the same nic?
