Very likely they will not install.  Drivers are kernel-specific, so a 
different kernel version usually requires a different driver and Promise does 
not give out source code.

It is a VERY BAD policy to use proprietary drivers that cannot even handle a 
switrch to dual processors.

Use the extra IDE interfaces as IDE interfaces and use linux software RAID 
instead.
