OK, change the owner:group of the files to root:root
and set permissions to 775 ..

( chown root:root files;
 chmod +775 files)

... mmm... dunno.. maybe mandrake control center -> security can give you
a hint. If you use your PC as a workstation, then regular (medium) security
is OK and recommended.
