Well, you are sending in html which is definitely not recommended anyway.

The mails are real mails and it shows the list activity. If you want help on
any of the topics discussed, there are extensive searchabl;e archives.

To get off the list send email IN PLAIN TEXT, not your html to

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

and leave the subject blanik

then put this in the message body

signoff newbie

or

set newbie nomail

If you had expanded the mail you received to full headers you would see that
the signoff instructions are also in the headers, plus you can use the
website where you signed up to get off the list.

what CANNOT be done is for the one overworked sysadmin handling all the
mailing lists and all the servers for mandrakesoft to take you off the list.
Even if he had time, he feels it would be a very very bad precedent and would
reflect poorly on our reputation for supporting free speech. We do note that
if a user is abusive, the other list members quickly set filters so that he
is never seen again and leaves of his own accord after being ignored long
enough.

Best of luck, but you must act to take yourself off of the list, because we
protect people's privilege to be here.
