Maybe this is the once and only time that I dare to disagree with a
person with such principles, kindness and depth of knowledge like you.
Civileme, it is my belief that your involvement in this list not only
helps MandrakeSoft but at the end will also help you.
You, Todd Lyons, Stephen Kuhn, Greg Meyer and so many others in this
list made my conversion from Windows to Mandrake a reality. And I
suppose that many others trying for the first time Linux/Mandrake and
that made the switch will have to thank your presence in this list.
I am myself beginning to act like an apostle influencing my clients to
adopt Linux in general, and Mandrake in particular, as their main
operating system supporting their missions.
More users will implies more income to MandrakeSoft and more people
working with Mandrake will end up meaning more consulting opportunities
for people like you. At the very least, more jobs opportunities. Your
presence in this list will make a significant contribution to increase
the number of Linux users.
I must be missing points that you have taken in account before making
your decision. Maybe these words only reflect the anger that I feel
about people like you not landing a fairly decent and rewarding job in
this upside down IT world.
