A note to developers - I have used gnome for a long time and decided to try kde. This lone feature has driven me crazy enough to switch back. If I hadn't been able to find the answer here I would have.
Either don't make this default to on - or make it so when some fscking popup take control from me, ie removes focus from what I'm doing and starts capturing my keystrokes, the popup has a configure/properties selection right there on it so I can change it's behavior. Don't make me spend 3 hours trying to turn off your nifty little feature.
