if you go to console and put the CD in  a CDROM then navigate to the CDROM  as 
in cd /mnt/cdrom>then type md5sums Mandrake-linux.rpm.iso.xxx (or whatever 
the iso name is) and hit enter, it will return the string for that .iso. 
Compare that with what is on the mirrors or others have provided here and all 
characters should match. If not, it's a bad burn or d/l. Rats, this is as 
close as I can recall without doing it and I have no .iso file or CD handy. 
Somebody jump in here and varify or add to get it right. HTH
