I've checked out Derek's useful linux page and it turns out that the
plugin he suggest to load in XMMS (libcdaudio.so) is already loaded an
enabled. Beside, my sound works flawlessly on ELX linux and WindowsXP.
I've tried various things that the Mandrake Control Center suggests:

I don't know if anything i've paste will help you help me, but i sure
hope so. I've tried pretty much anything i've thought about, even
changing the speaker jack's slots just to make sure that linux didn't,
for some reason, inversed the output.
