If I might offer another trick.
If the 2nd drive is new and was not attached when you installed Win.
Set your Win drive as secondary master and you new drive as primary
master.
When you install linux on the new hd you will still be able to boot Win
from it and you need not worry about altering the MBR on your Win drive.
