Funny you should ask, I'm right in the middle of getting my wife's fluxbox set up the way it was before! I compiled from source, so I'm not sure what Texstar's rpm does. However, if you just go in and edit the style file (look in ~/.fluxbox/styles or /usr/local/share/fluxbox/styles) that should take care of it. Look for the background setting (should be near the end of the file), comment it out and add in your own, or modify it to your liking. That /should/ fix it. Is the startup script you're talking about one you wrote or some fluxbox addon? This weekend I'm going to try to get xfwm4. I'll let you know how that compares to flux/rox. BTW, I'm using the newest stable rox and it is much slower than the old gtk-1.2 version I was running. Plus I can't figure out how to do keyboard shortcuts in this rox--do you know how? I was/am impressed by the KDE that comes in 9.1. It's pretty usable on my machine, but even my wife prefers fluxbox now! Todd
