Either from a console display, or from the KDE konsole window available in
the panel, enter the following commands (logged on as a user - not su):
cd [path to file]
{should be something like /home/your personal folder/folder containing
the tar file for StarOffice}
you need to be logged to the folder the file is located in for the next
command.
tar -xpvf [filename.ext(s)]
(where [filename.exe(s)] is the name of the file to extract.
Next read the *.pdf file for clear and concise instructions regarding how to
install the software for your individual needs.
