It's sort'a ironic that you hijacked this thread 'No responses on
questions'. You can't reply to any list by just changing the
subject line an start typin. Well you can, but many will ignore
you. You've butted into an existing thread. Try again with your
own original post. Use a brief subject line, and then be as verbose
as you may, including details of what you want, what you're workin
with, what you've tried. If someone has an idea about it, they'll
most likely answer.
.bin (binary) files are usually run from the CL with
'sh file.bin'. Sometimes you may need to convert them to executable
first 'chmod +x file.bin'. You might wanna ask around about just
what binary file you're fixin to try tho first, an just what it
might do. 'ark' will extract files, from an archive. A .bin is not
an archive. If you just wanna burn 'em to CD, that's another
question. You'll get many answers from ex-Windoze users strugglin
to do it with their favored Linux GUI app. On the CL it takes but
typin 4 or 5 letters (your choice), after a touch of homework.
