The ps2pdf command gives you more flexibility than using it as a 
printer. I found the documentation on 
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/doc/AFPL/8.00/Ps2pdf.htm
(It's probably installed locally somewhere, but I can't be bothered to 
find it :-)

It says that "ps2pdf is a work-alike for nearly all the functionality 
(but not the user interface) of Adobe's AcrobatTM DistillerTM product"

But I can see no mention of the permissions you (Eko) mention.
