Thanks Derek, I guess I did miss something.... I know it was installed because I issued 'sylpheed' and there it was - but 'urpme sylpheed' returned "unknown package sylpheed" at one point either 'locate' or 'find' sylpheed returned a bunch of files in /.sylpheed (I think) Right now 'locate sylpheed' returns only /faq/, /manual/ and /themes/ in /usr/share/sylpheed I think I expected some dialog with urpme that I didn't see (not sure) but in any case it's gone.
