[newbie] EIDE Controler

My Motherboard does not recognise my EIDE hard drive with out using
EZ Bios. I am looking for a EIDE  Controller card that Linux will work
with.  I have seen lists of  compatable equipment but nothing about
EIDE Controller Cards.
