I'm rather lucky. I spoke to a group last week - "Illawarra Computer
Enthusiasts" - all mostly seniors, a few between 35 and 60 - and the
interest was HIGH; most of them are sick and tired of virus protection
programs, spyware programs, spam and crap - so I had to do very little
"introduction" to the subject. After it was announced that I don't run
Windows as my primary OS at home, I got barraged with heaps of questions
as to what we use "in place of" MS programs - was great. Next meeting
that has an open slot in it, I'm going to do a full blown presentation
on linux as the primary OS in the house...and try to cover every
available aspect - from normal usage to games to pr0n to security...I'm
sure I'll get some attention there...(g)
