Try this....

in /etc/sysconfig/network

Add this line:

GATEWAYDEV=ppp0

if there is an entry for GATEWAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

remove it.


Then type:

service network restart

then try kppp again.

there. Here are
the entries in /etc/ppp/options:

lock
noauth
noipdefault
usepeerdns

Maybe they will jog your memory. Perhaps you could check
yours and see if
there is a difference.
