I am interested in trying out some sound editing software and I am hoping to get opinions on 2 of them: Rosegarden and Ardour. Since I am stuck on dialup downloading both of them is not really an option, although that would be the best way to check them out. What do some of you think of these programs? I intend to either import sound files from a Roland recorder, or eventually use one of these programs as a hard disk recorder, and MIDI control is not a particular need at this time. Thanks for sharing your opinions on this.
