You are correct, 6.0 doesn't support the TNT2. You can download and
install the patches from Nvidia. Their website contains instructions and
links to the compiled versions, or get 6.1
Although the book tells you not to probe the card if yours doesn't come
up ( ihave a leadtek tnt2 board and it come up as a viper 770), go ahead
and probe. My configuration was still messed up until I did the probe. I
think it works because xfree plugged in the generic tnt2 drivers in the
new release.
