I am running a SiS 5597/5598 driver for my video card (actully the video
is built into the mother board). I have my cmputer setup on the video to
have 4 Megs of mem. I am running a Vision Graphic 17" monitor... when I
goto setup my video (Linux Mandrake 6.1) My monitor will switch over and
I get a window with the words blacked out. ie. no text. the mouse and
everything looks fine for a desktop I just don't get the text.... Now I
have setup my monitor using the custom command in SETUP and just tried
it. when the desktop loads however I get the same thing I got in the
setup. all text is Boxed/Blacked out where I can't read it.... I have
been able to see the Min. and Close buttons on the windows that are open.
Any ideas?
1280x1024 60Hz is the info I got off a web site for this monitor.
