Have you looked at the Preferences of XMMS?


Try looking under Option => Preferences => Audio I/O Plugins and look at the configuration of the plugin that corresponds to the typt of stream you're wanting to record. I think you can set it to record to your hard drive. I don't know how well it works, or if it works at all. I haven't tried it yet.
