A simple fsck solved my problems. Thanks anyway.

Hmm, I believe that when your LEDs on your keyboard blink simutaneously, its a
kernel related crash.


Have you tried updating your RPM database? As su/root, try:

rpm --rebuilddb

and see if it makes it through. If it does, see if it helps.
