There is a version 9 rpm out, but I forgot where I obtained it. There's
also a tarball of it available on www.real.com somewhere. The tarball
has difficulty installing anywhere except in ${HOME} ; but that's not
true of the RPM.

I've used it a little now, and I think you might as well stick with 
version 8. I don't see anything new in version 9; in fact, it seems 
a step backward.
