I remember seeing some great streaming video of it at the time, maybe at 
wired?  The self-balancing part of the wheelchair led to the Segway, a 
bastard child if you wish... 

That said, the guy's a genius, whose medical inventions (stents, portable 
dialysis, etc) have saved more lives than almost anybody else living.
