Dow,

You will need to look at vgetty, this controls incoming voice over
modem. Best thing to do is google for vgetty and this should bring up
some software, or use freshmeat.net. I don't know much else as I haven't
started to look at this yet, but it is a project I have got planned for
doing sometime in the next couple of months.

Tony.

Subject: [newbie] Bitware voice manager look-alike?

Hi, Great forum so far. I'm just starting out in Linux, and am looking
for
apps that are similar to the ones I'm using in the M$ world. I'm
currently
using a program from Computer Associates International called Bitware,
which
is a answering machine program. It allows me to configure it for phone,
fax, or data reception or any combination of the three. Is there a
similar
app in the Linux world?

Thanks!

De Colores,

Dow Mathis
