How do I restore xwindows monitor and video settings on bootup.

There is some way by typing XFdrake , but how ,
I think with CD1 ?

John

as root, XFdrake should give you the ability to setup your display
and monitor, and it should last between boot ups. the way XFdrake
displays is different depending on what environment you are in
when you launch it.

That's right, but how do you do it when you cannot get to a command
prompt, I remember doing it some way with CD1 and the F1 route but
cannot now rememebr how it's accomplished.

I'm currently stuck locked out because I need to reset my xwindows
graphics setting
before I can login. I cannot seem to get to a command line, Oh,
well, never mind.

John

John - reboot, at the lilo splash screen hit Esc, then type

linux 1

So it is, been so long since I had to do it, I had forgotten.
Thanks,

John
