Anyhoo, no, should be no prob. You *could* choose not to even format your existing home partition, tho a lot of the config files are going to be way off and such, so best bet is to back up /home and format the whole shebang, IMHO. The clean install will put in a new copy of LILO, the only OS that fscks LILO is MS, go figure.
