I know (?) yer jokin', but I just tried it again (3 times!), so as to be
absolutely sure...
in fact, there never is a blinking cursor, the first thing that comes up
is the red and white Compaq logo and an hourglass thingie. I hit F10
repeatedly, from the moment it powered on even, and all I got was a
"keyboard error"...
Anyway, I'm givin' up on this Comcrap, I'm gonna install Win98 on it and
loan it to a friend whose comp just blew up and can't afford a new one
just yet. All they need is basic web and e-mail functionality, I'm sure
even Compaq and Win98 can manage that, LOL!
Thanks fer the replies, but I'm stayin' far away as I can from this
proprietary crapola from now on!
