Check to see if you have an energy star monitor or a monitor that has power management built in. You should always attempt to press a key first, not just move the mouse. My machine sits at a non-graphical login screen, moving the mouse does nothing, hitting numlock off and then back on, will cause the screen to display from powersave mode. -- Bryan Phinney Software Test Engineer
