Hello all This afternoon, in my continuing quest for understanding, I ssh'ed from my laptop to aeis.tv which is on my desktop 9.1 box serving to the net on apache2.
I used root and the root password and immediately had the run of the box. It scared me enough to zoom to the firewall and close all the ports I had opened for the server. Now I'm tucked in behind the firewall contemplating. 1. Do I need a dedicated box to serve aeis.tv so I don't have to worry about the rest of my files? or 2. (More likely) What did I do wrong that would allow this access? Still don't have the mailserver working but probably because I started at the wrong end and didn't know what questions to ask (here or google). I'll go back to it when I get this access thing straight in my mind. Thanks for the help, as always. Lee
