Personally, I like having a box with two nics in it that handles all routing and firewall responsibilities. Much easier to deal with and far more configurable and extensible. I've had a Mandrake 8.2 box using Bastille doing just this for me for the last year or so and couldn't be happier with it. I recently got a DSL connection and had nuttin but misery until I got the thing working in bridge mode as opposed to acting like a hardware router. Once that was done life was good again and everyone was happy. -- Mark "If necessity is the mother of invention, then who's the father?" ----------------------------------------------------------- Paid for by Penguins against modern appliances(R) Linux User Since 1996 Powered by Mandrake Linux 8.2 & 9.1 ICQ# 27816299
