I don't have a K7 but I read an article at
www.cpureview.com/rev_k7-linux1_a.html.
It appears that the Pentium optimization specifically the MTRR prevent
it from loading.
I guess until an Athlon specific compilers come out, the only way to use
an Athlon is with a kernel compiled for use on a 386.
