OK, newbieness is coming out. I've been getting used to MDK9.1 and my first venture into Linux. I've run into a technical question.
I've installed on my laptop, and I close it down at the end of the day (hey, I'm not going for uptime stats here, just usage). When I choose to shut the system down, the screen goes blank, and I get nothing further. Is there a way (or should I be seeing it by default) to configure MDK to list textually its shutdown process so I know when all volumes have been safely unmounted, and I can hit the power button? Obviously, I'm used to the friendly winders "you may now safely shut off your computer." Please don't hold winders familiarity against me! The Northwest Marmot
