Not sure but you should rule out the obvious - is the cart a good one? I mean
can you read it somewhere else? Is youre zip drive a 250 model? (not trying
to insult ya here - just checking!)
What does your /etc/fstab line regarding your zip drive look like? Are you
using supermount or not?
Just some things to think about.
