urpmi seems to be the method of choice for most Mandrake users - it's simple to use - google for easy urpmi - the first hit will take you step by step through configuring your software sources - then it's a simple as # urpmi --auto-select -a (do urpmi urpmi first to update the urpmi package) to update every software package you have installed - although I think 9.0 sources are drying up.
