Nosing around here, with onboard sound gives this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] darklord]$ ls -al /dev/seq
sequencer sequencer2
[EMAIL PROTECTED] darklord]$ ls -al /dev/sequencer
crw------- 1 darklord audio 14, 1 Jun 12 22:35 /dev/sequencer
Ah...about that "cat" command. It should be more like:
cat /proc/pci
That should give you a ton of info to start with.
