John, I have done this with an adaptor chord from radio shack. It has the 
usual rca jacks for the tape deck and a single plug to go into the sound card 
on the comp. You will have to play with it and maybe use a third party prog 
to do it, like "gramofile". Have to do a search on that one. HTH
