Thank you for the help, but I have tried altering fstab to the point where I now get an error on boot and lost the original. (sigh)
I changed lilo, ran lilo, and have diddled with fstab unmercifully.
I compared his lilo and fstab to mine and tried to ammend his to what I think it should be to be recognised, but to no avail.
I'll start by starting over and see what you all have to add.
Any more thoughts?
